A planner by a cup of tea in celebration of beltaine

Beltaine and the Magic of Feeling in Control

Beltaine, celebrated as a time of purposeful movement toward the light, embodies the vibrant energy of spring. Nature bursts forth in a symphony of sound and color, inviting us to engage with the world with confidence and bravery. NO longer are we swayed by the indecision of Ostara, it is a time for commitment.

I, Bel, take you, Danu...

Beltane means ‘fires of Bel’, in reference of Bel and Danu, the original ‘parental’ gods of creation. May 1st is their wedding day, a celebration of their commitment to each other and to a fruitful union. After the giddiness of Imbolc, the quest of Ostara, it now time to roll our sleeves. This period demands a delicate balance of intentionality and compassion, where we navigate our journey with openness and courage.

Plan and Go

In sync with Beltaine's spirit of purposeful action, keeping a planner journal can be immensely beneficial. As we embrace the vibrant energy of this season, a planner serves as our compass, guiding us toward our priorities and goals with clarity and focus.

The benefits of maintaining a planner journal are manifold. Firstly, it enhances time management by allowing us to schedule events, appointments, tasks, and deadlines effectively, ensuring that we make the most of our time without feeling overwhelmed. Additionally, a planner journal boosts productivity, aiding us in staying organized and efficient both at home and work.

Moreover, the stress-relieving properties of a planner journal cannot be overstated. By providing a clear outline of our commitments, it alleviates the burden of mental clutter, allowing us to approach our responsibilities with ease and tranquility. Furthermore, planners contribute to our overall well-being by facilitating the tracking of health-related activities such as diet, exercise, and medical appointments, thereby promoting both physical and mental health.

Creativity also thrives within the structure of a planner journal. By carving out dedicated time for creative pursuits and hobbies, it enriches our personal lives and fosters a sense of fulfillment. Additionally, the record-keeping aspect of a planner journal serves as a valuable tool for personal reflection, enabling us to track our progress and growth over time.

Furthermore, the act of writing down goals and tasks in a planner cultivates focus and mindfulness, encouraging us to concentrate on one thing at a time and stay motivated in pursuing our aspirations.

In essence, Beltaine and planning resonate deeply with each other, both embodying the essence of purposeful action and intentional living. As we embrace the vibrant energy of this season, let us harness the power of planning to navigate our journey with clarity, focus, and balance. Litha will be the time when discipline will be the source of our empowerment before the reward of the harvest at Lughnasa.
