A small companion for sketching, writing, and collecting fragments on the move.
This A6 carnet is designed for those who move between drawing, note-taking, and collecting impressions without changing books. Covered in modern decorative Lokta paper, it offers a tactile, resilient surface rooted in traditional Nepalese craft. Inside, three carefully chosen papers support shifting creative moods.
A classic case-bound (Bradel) structure ensures durability while allowing the journal to open comfortably flat. The integrated linen pocket provides space for tickets, pressed leaves, or fleeting notes gathered along the way.
Compact yet versatile, it is equally at home in a backpack, coat pocket, or studio table — a quiet space for thoughts, sketches, and memories.

COVER MATERIAL: Handcrafted from sustainably harvested Daphne bark, Lokta paper carries a thousand year legacy in its soft, textured surface—brought to life through traditional batik, woodblock prints, and sun dried sheets that honour Nepal’s mountain artisans. Each piece celebrates natural variation in colour, weight, and pattern, offering a beautifully durable, eco conscious canvas that supports rural communities and preserves a timeless craft.
WRITING PAPER - Made on an original 19th-century papermaking machine from a now-closed mill, this paper invites a slower, more thoughtful writing experience. Naturally warm in tone, each page carries subtle inclusions — vegetal fibres and traces of upcycled banknotes — creating a gentle texture beneath the hand. The result is a paper that feels alive: responsive to pen and pencil, softly grounding, and rich with character, where history and nature come together to support creativity on the page.

Style: CASE BOUND and ROUNDED BINDING (BRADEL)
Fact: Bradel binding originated in 18th-century Germany with Alexis-Pierre Bradel and is a distinctive case-bound style where covers and spine are made separately from the text block. Its signature hollow back allows the book to open fully flat, combining the durability of tight-back bindings with the flexibility of modern case binding. Versatile and elegant, it can be adapted with rounded or reinforced spines, making it ideal for journals, sketchbooks, and durable editions.
