Book Repair & Restoration
Book Repair & Restoration
Some books are simply too special to replace.
A favourite novel, a family bible, a well-used cookbook — time and use can loosen bindings, tear pages, or wear covers, but many books can be carefully restored.
In my small bindery, I offer thoughtful hand repair to help give well-loved books a second life while respecting their original character.
Common repairs include:
• loose or detached pages
• broken or weakened bindings
• damaged spines
• worn covers or hinges
Each book is different, so repairs are assessed individually. If you have a book that needs attention, feel free to get in touch with a photo and a short description of the issue. I will happily advise on what can be done.
Thoughtful repair can help a treasured book continue to be used and enjoyed for many years to come. Please check my FAQ page for credentials and gallery.
