Tree-free cotton pages with exposed Coptic spine for art and reflection.
A watercolour journal inspired by the quiet beauty of beetles, finished with subtle gold details that catch the light without overwhelming the page.
Bound using traditional Coptic stitching, the exposed spine allows the book to open completely flat or fold back on itself — practical for painting outdoors or working at a desk. With 84 pages of 100% cotton, tree-free paper, each sheet carries a pronounced deckled edge, celebrating the handmade nature of the craft.
Its minimalist construction avoids excess materials, keeping the design low-impact and durable. Cotton rag paper, made from upcycled textile fibres, offers strength, absorbency, and a natural connection to the land it comes from.

COVER MATERIAL: Crafted from upcycled materials—denim, wine labels, vinyls and other familiar everyday textures—each cover carries the soft, lived in comfort of something once loved, complete with natural colour shifts and charming details from its past life. Thoughtfully reborn with sustainability at its heart (the art paper is 100% rag cotton from upcycled textile and tree free), it wraps your pages in a cozy, familiar embrace, turning ordinary remnants into a uniquely personal companion.
ART PAPER - Exceptional in both quality and conscience, this tree-free cotton rag paper is made from 100% upcycled textile fibres and sourced directly from a fair-trade papermaking community in the hills of India. Each sheet is mould-made, sun-dried, and finished with softly deckled edges, preserving traditional skills while supporting ethical livelihoods. Lightly textured yet beautifully stable, it offers excellent performance across all media, making it as versatile as it is sustainable.

Style: COPTIC BINDING
Fact: Coptic binding is an ancient 2nd-century AD technique from early Christian Egypt, considered one of the earliest true codex forms. It features an exposed spine with decorative chain-stitch sewing, uses no glue, and relies entirely on thread for strength. This allows the book to open completely flat, even back on itself, making it ideal for sketchbooks and artist journals. The spine is traditionally left exposed, but can be covered, the sewing hidden or exposed; the rhythmic sewing pattern provides both structure and beauty.
