A small sketchbook with generous texture and quiet character.

This miniature sketchbook (10 x 7 cm) is designed for ideas that arrive unexpectedly. Inside are 72 pages of cotton rag paper, tree-free and made from upcycled textile fibres. Lightly textured and softly substantial, the paper welcomes pencil, ink, and light colour work with ease.

Each page carries a natural deckled edge, created through traditional mould-making and sun-drying, giving the book an organic, tactile presence despite its small size.

The spine is neatly covered for protection, while the natural paper cover is hand-stamped with subtle botanical and nature-inspired motifs. The result is understated, earthy, and quietly expressive.

Small enough for a pocket or coat, it becomes a companion for field notes, thumbnail sketches, poetry fragments, or fleeting observations gathered along the way.

Material Guide

ART PAPER - Exceptional in both quality and conscience, this tree-free cotton rag paper is made from 100% upcycled textile fibres and sourced directly from a fair-trade papermaking community in the hills of India. Each sheet is mould-made, sun-dried, and finished with softly deckled edges, preserving traditional skills while supporting ethical livelihoods. Lightly textured yet beautifully stable, it offers excellent performance across all media, making it as versatile as it is sustainable.

Binding

Style: COPTIC BINDING

Fact: Coptic binding is an ancient 2nd-century AD technique from early Christian Egypt, considered one of the earliest true codex forms. It features an exposed spine with decorative chain-stitch sewing, uses no glue, and relies entirely on thread for strength. This allows the book to open completely flat, even back on itself, making it ideal for sketchbooks and artist journals. The spine is traditionally left exposed, but can be covered, the sewing hidden or exposed; the rhythmic sewing pattern provides both structure and beauty.
