A small journal designed for quiet moments of gratitude and daily affirmations. The cover features a real scallop shell, carefully integrated into the binding, creating a tactile reminder of the sea and simple rituals of reflection.
Hand sewn using traditional Coptic binding, the spine remains exposed and glue-free, allowing the journal to open completely flat — ideal for comfortable, uninterrupted writing.
Inside, 72 pages of straw-coloured artisanal paper offer a warm, gently textured surface that supports thoughtful pen work and slow journaling. Handmade in Leitrim, each piece is crafted with care for those who value sustainability, upcycled elements, and meaningful objects.

COVER MATERIAL: Crafted from upcycled materials—denim, wine labels, vinyls and other familiar everyday textures—each cover carries the soft, lived in comfort of something once loved, complete with natural colour shifts and charming details from its past life. Thoughtfully reborn with sustainability at its heart (the art paper is 100% rag cotton from upcycled textile and tree free), it wraps your pages in a cozy, familiar embrace, turning ordinary remnants into a uniquely personal companion.
WRITING PAPER - Made on an original 19th-century papermaking machine from a now-closed mill, this paper invites a slower, more thoughtful writing experience. Naturally warm in tone, each page carries subtle inclusions — vegetal fibres and traces of upcycled banknotes — creating a gentle texture beneath the hand. The result is a paper that feels alive: responsive to pen and pencil, softly grounding, and rich with character, where history and nature come together to support creativity on the page.

Style: COPTIC BINDING
Fact: Coptic binding is an ancient 2nd-century AD technique from early Christian Egypt, considered one of the earliest true codex forms. It features an exposed spine with decorative chain-stitch sewing, uses no glue, and relies entirely on thread for strength. This allows the book to open completely flat, even back on itself, making it ideal for sketchbooks and artist journals. The spine is traditionally left exposed, but can be covered, the sewing hidden or exposed; the rhythmic sewing pattern provides both structure and beauty.
