A tactile keepsake wrapped in shimmering history and soft cotton rag pages.
Small enough for your handbag, rich enough to treasure.
This 9 x 12 cm pocket journal holds 100 pages of tree-free cotton rag paper, made from discarded textile fibres and crafted to welcome pen, pencil, and light sketching.
The cover is created from upcycled ceremonial sari fabric, subtly shimmering with woven filigree. Each piece carries its own history of colour and pattern — no two journals are ever alike. The tactile surface contrasts beautifully with the softly textured pages within.
Bound using traditional pamphlet (saddle) stitching, the journal opens flat and closes securely with a cord fastener. Flexible, lightweight, and durable — ready for quiet reflections, fleeting ideas, or observations gathered throughout the day.

COVER MATERIAL: Crafted from upcycled materials—denim, wine labels, vinyls and other familiar everyday textures—each cover carries the soft, lived in comfort of something once loved, complete with natural colour shifts and charming details from its past life. Thoughtfully reborn with sustainability at its heart (the art paper is 100% rag cotton from upcycled textile and tree free), it wraps your pages in a cozy, familiar embrace, turning ordinary remnants into a uniquely personal companion.
WRITING PAPER - Made on an original 19th-century papermaking machine from a now-closed mill, this paper invites a slower, more thoughtful writing experience. Naturally warm in tone, each page carries subtle inclusions — vegetal fibres and traces of upcycled banknotes — creating a gentle texture beneath the hand. The result is a paper that feels alive: responsive to pen and pencil, softly grounding, and rich with character, where history and nature come together to support creativity on the page.

Style: SADDLE and DAISY BINDING (PAMPHLET)
Fact: Pamphlet binding is an ancient, durable technique dating to the 4th century, formed by sewing a single folded section directly through the spine to a leather cover. Using simple 3–6 hole sewing patterns—chosen according to thickness—it creates a strong, flexible book that opens completely flat, ideal for journals, music, or zines. While classically straight-sewn (Saddle), the structure can be enhanced with daisy stitching or multiple signatures joined to a cover for added strength and character.
